Privacy policy

MockDojo is a technical interview preparation and practice platform for data professionals. This policy explains information used by the service and choices available to you. Updated October 16, 2026.

Who to contact

MockDojo operates mockdojo.com. Send privacy questions, access requests, corrections or deletion requests to mockdojo@outlook.com. Include the email associated with your account when relevant, but never send a password, sign-in link, payment card details or authentication token. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

Information you provide

When you create an account, we process your email and authentication information through Supabase. You may provide a display name, profile picture, target role, experience level and training preferences. Practice drafts, attempts, course progress, plans and self-reported interview records can be saved to your account. Interview features process your answers, transcripts and evaluations.

Resume review processes the resume text you submit, your selected role and level, and an optional job description. Uploaded resume files are parsed in your browser; extracted text is sent for review when you submit. A summary of the resulting feedback is saved for progress tracking. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information or confidential information belonging to an employer or another person.

Guest use, cookies and device storage

You can read public guides and run public SQL practice without an account. Guest drafts, learning results and theme preferences may be saved in browser storage on that device. Guest work is not automatically added to an account: importing it requires your choice. Signed-in sessions, account preferences and pending changes also use browser storage. Signing out does not erase every saved account copy from the device.

Browser storage and essential session mechanisms support sign-in, recovery and keeping your work. You can clear site data through your browser; doing so can remove unsynced work and sign you out. Copy or export work you want to keep first. Public Privacy, About, Contact, Terms and the static SQL guides can be read without JavaScript, sign-in or browser storage.

AI and voice processing

When you request AI feedback, relevant resume text, job description, interview context or answers are sent to our backend and the configured AI service through Vercel AI Gateway. Providers handling a request may process that content under their own policies. Do not submit material you are not permitted to share. AI feedback can be inaccurate and is an estimate, not an employment decision or verified credential.

Microphone and camera features require browser permission. AI transcription sends recorded answer audio for transcription; the audio handler does not save an audio file to our database. Accepted answer text and interview history can be retained. Browser speech features depend on your browser or operating system and may use its speech service. You can deny or revoke device permissions and use text instead. Provider processing and retention are distinct from storage in MockDojo.

Service providers and payments

Vercel provides hosting and AI Gateway; Supabase provides authentication, database and backend services; Resend delivers account emails. These services may process network information such as IP address, browser details and operational logs to deliver and secure the service. When payment features are available, Stripe handles checkout and payment details. MockDojo stores payment identifiers and entitlement records needed to manage access, rather than your full card number.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Provider policies describe their processing: Vercel, Supabase, Resend and Stripe. Relevant AI model providers depend on the configured feature; contact us if you need information about a particular request.

Audience measurement

MockDojo uses Vercel Web Analytics on selected public app pages and generic Settings visits when enabled. It measures page visits and device/browser information without analytics cookies. Our integration excludes private interview, resume, account and course routes, unknown problem URLs, query strings and fragments. We do not pass resume content, SQL text, transcripts, email addresses or account IDs as analytics properties. The static information pages and static SQL guides do not load analytics scripts. Hosting access and security logs are separate from analytics.

See Vercel Web Analytics privacy information. Content blockers may prevent analytics; reading and practice remain available.

Google advertising and your choices

MockDojo is preparing for Google AdSense. An ownership meta tag or ads.txt record verifies the publisher and does not itself load advertising cookies. Advertising is restricted to designated public reading content; our account app, resume feedback, interview transcripts and editors do not load Google advertising code. Ad serving requires separate setup and applicable consent.

When Google ads are enabled on eligible pages, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits across sites. Other participating ad networks may also use cookies or similar identifiers under their policies.

You can manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center, learn how Google uses information on partner sites at Google partner-site privacy, and explore participating vendor opt-outs at Digital Advertising Alliance choices. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove ads. Where required, a certified consent management platform must offer consent choices before ad serving; you can revisit its privacy choices on the page where advertising is enabled. A privacy policy alone is not consent.

We do not provide your resume, interview answers, SQL drafts, profile picture or account identity to advertising vendors. Public sponsored links, if present, are labeled; following a link takes you to a separate site with its own privacy practices.

Why information is used and how long it is kept

We use information to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, preserve learning work, deliver account emails, manage paid access when available, prevent abuse and investigate service failures. Account history and preferences remain stored while needed to support these features unless removed through available controls or an account request. There is no automatic deletion schedule for all account history. Device copies remain until changed or cleared; clearing device storage does not delete server records.

Deletion requests may involve separate account, interview and billing records. Some records or backup copies may need to be retained for security, financial, legal or recovery reasons. AI and other providers have their own retention practices; we do not promise that a MockDojo deletion request removes all provider logs immediately.

Your controls, requests and security

You can edit your profile, remove a profile picture, choose whether to import guest work, manage browser storage and revoke microphone/camera permission. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or object to certain uses of your personal information. Contact mockdojo@outlook.com to make a request or ask about applicable choices. Requests are handled after appropriate identity checks and subject to applicable requirements; there is no automatic account-deletion button at present.

We use account access controls and server authorization to protect account data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. On shared devices, sign out and consider clearing saved site data after preserving work you need. Do not send sensitive documents in a public bug report.

Children and policy changes

MockDojo is intended for professional learning and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We update this page when practices change and revise the date above. Review this policy before submitting information or enabling optional features.
